Nintendo Switch - Warranty Information.

How to register warranty?

There is no registration needed as Nintendo Switch does not come with a warranty card. However, you are required to keep the box and all the packaging that contains the serial number of the device.

What is the warranty coverage?

NINTENDO WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

  • This warranty is valid only if the product has been in accordance with the instruction manual provided.
  • This warranty shall not apply if the warranty provider did not receive the product with the original packaging, the date of purchase of the valid receipt and chop of the retail outlet from where the purchase has been made during warranty claims.
  • This warranty covers only the hardware and does not include in its scope any software or accessories purchased along with it.
  • The warranty is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase subject to the above conditions being fulfilled.
  • Remote and accessories (Wii™ Remote, Wii U™ Gamepad, Nintendo Switch™ Joy-Con) purchased within the bundle or individual are valid for a period of 3 months from the date of purchase.

This warranty does not apply if the product has been opened or serviced at any non-Nintendo authorized service centre. This warranty shall not apply if this product:

  1. Is used with products not sold or licensed by Nintendo (including, but not limited to, non-licensed game enhancement and copier devices, adapters, and power supplies);
  2. Is used for commercial purposes (including rental);
  3. Is modified or tampered with;
  4. Is damaged by negligence, accident, unreasonable use, or by other causes unrelated to defective materials or workmanship;
  5. Has had the serial number altered, defaced or removed. This warranty does not cover any consequential or incidental loss or damage arising from the use of the product.

This warranty does not cover any problems occurring due to electrical short circuits, gas leakages, fires, earthquakes, typhoons or any other natural or nuclear calamities or any problems due to seepage of water, any liquids or any kind of corrosion. 

This warranty is valid in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand only.

 

NOTE ON LCD TECHNOLOGY

As High-precision technology is involved in manufacturing LCD Screens, there may be some pixels which are not visible. While this is often perceived as a defect, please note that the screen is simply rendering colors differently in it's current state of art and should not be a cause for concern.

If your product is under a year old, please contact an authorized Nintendo service center for warranty claims.

+4 years extended warranty claims are processed at our physical store. Warranty coverage terms for the 2nd to 5th years is the same as the manufacturer / authorized dealer’s. Please note if the manufacturer / agent excludes certain parts (i.e. battery) from the full 1-year duration, we too will not provide extended warranty coverage for it.

For Nintendo Switch consoles, the extended warranty covers only the console. Joy-Con controllers are not covered as the manufacturer warranty is only 90 days.
