Step 1: Select your language.

Step 2: Select your Wi-Fi network or connect using a LAN cable.

Step 3: Adjust display area.

Step 4: You can choose to insert a game disc for the system to install it while you proceed with the setup, or you may continue without a disc.

Step 5: Choose the power options for rest mode.

Step 6: Agree to the software license agreement.

Step 7: Press [Continue] to update the system software.

Step 8: Press [Update Now] to update the wireless controller.

Step 9: Sign in to your PlayStation Network account, or create a new account if you don't have one. 

Step 10: Choose a privacy profile that fits your preference.

Step 11: Choose your preferred data collection method.

Step 12: Choose whether to enable or disable personalized purchase recommendations & advertising.

Step 13: Choose your preferred 2-step verification method. Or skip this step by pressing [Do This Later].

Step 14: Add in your mobile number. Or skip this step by pressing [Do This Later].

Step 15: Choose media apps to download. Or skip this step by pressing [Do This Later].

Step 16: Choose if you wish to transfer your date from your PlayStation 4. Or skip this step by pressing [Do This Later].

Step 17: Start gaming!
